Installation Technician I (EU)
Location: Remote in the EU (EU candidates). Non-EU candidates will NOT be considered.

Overview:
- This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact on the development of a lab automation platforms.
- The successful candidate will work with multiple teams to configure robotic systems to meet customer installation specifications and then travel to that customer site for the installation.
- This will be a customer facing role when on-site with our clients so polished, professional communication is essential!

- This is a home-based position but a significant amount of domestic and international travel up to 80%.
- The ideal candidate would be a curious individual and fast learner, able to work independently, as well as work cross-functionally internally as well as with a customer.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with other system techs to complete builds on time with high quality work.
- Current Driver’s License and Passport are required.
- This position will report to the Manufacturing Operations Manager Role
- The position requires 80% travels.
- The position is suitable for EU-passport candidate.
Requirements:
- Perform electrical and mechanical assemblies using schematics, mechanical drawings and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols.
- Ability to follow procedures, documentation, and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Have a keen eye for quality and attention to detail. Understanding of electrical principals and standards.
- Communication with internal departments to report quality issues and defects.
- Able to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues – DC and AC voltages.
- Able to use a computer to perform calibration and commissioning tasks of devices.
- Willing to travel for extended periods of time 2-3 weeks internationally, occasionally as much as 8 weeks for training in the U.S. when first hired Able to work in confined spaces.
- Capable of lifting this up to 25 kg.
- Works proactively with support and cross-functional groups to achieve timely and customer-focused issue resolution.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation of support case issues, activities, and resolution.
- Assist customers with Pre-SAT issues.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or apprenticeship program, or 1-3 years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience
- Great communication skills, oral and written.
- Must understand and speak English at a C1 level. Fluent in German.
- Basic Computer - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
- Automation/Robotics background is a plus.
- Ability to be personally accountable and still thrive in a team environment.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource planning (ERP) and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of JIRA is a plus.
