Your responsibilities will include:
Partnering with the Plant Manager and leadership team on people priorities, organisational effectiveness and workforce planning.
Building a positive workplace culture through open dialogue, active listening, collaboration and consistent follow-through.
Coaching managers to strengthen their leadership, communication and people management skills.
Leading employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary processes and capability cases, with fairness, discretion and a focus on resolution.
Advising leaders on UK employment law, HR policies and employment practices, ensuring fair, ethical and compliant decisions.
Leading talent reviews, performance and development processes, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives.
Supporting recruitment and retention across operational and support functions.
Guiding managers and employees through organisational and cultural change.
Maintaining effective employee consultation and representative forums, with clear communication of actions and progress.
Overseeing HR operations, including payroll inputs, benefits administration, HR systems, reporting and data accuracy, in collaboration with relevant support teams.
Using HR data and employee feedback to identify priorities and improve organisational performance.
Delivering HR projects and promoting continuous improvement across the site.
Your experience
A bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of generalist HR experience.
Chartered Membership of the CIPD (MCIPD), essential.
Demonstrable operational HR experience within manufacturing. Experience from any manufacturing subsector is welcome.
Previous experience as an HR Manager or senior HR Business Partner, combining strategic input with hands-on delivery.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and practical experience managing complex employee relations cases through to resolution.
Experience in talent development, organisational development, employee engagement and change management.
Confidence working with HR metrics, workforce costs and salary administration.
Experience within an international or matrix organisation would be advantageous.
Familiarity with structured change management approaches, such as ADKAR, would be beneficial.
Your approach
You bring professional maturity, integrity and a collaborative mindset. You listen carefully, remain open to discussion and seek practical solutions that balance employee needs with business priorities.
You build credibility through your attitude, judgement and actions. You are comfortable coaching others, handling sensitive conversations and constructively challenging decisions while maintaining strong working relationships.
You understand how an established international organisation operates and can translate broader priorities into effective local action. You are equally comfortable contributing to longer-term plans and taking ownership of day-to-day HR matters.
Working arrangement
