Position Overview
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a trusted and proactive advocate, providing strategic leadership, influence, and coaching to senior management, client business units, and operational teams. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive HR support across organizational design, talent development, performance management, and employee relations to drive business performance and support the company's sustainable energy mission.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Advocacy: Act as a trusted advocate providing influence to business units, management, and teams to drive positive organizational change.

Comprehensive HR Support: Deliver strategic and practical HR guidance covering performance management, organizational design, learning and development, compensation planning, and employee relations.

CoE Collaboration: Partner effectively with HR Centers of Excellence (CoE) in areas such as immigration affairs, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, and recruitment.

Organizational Health & Design: Assist senior management in building effective, diverse, and inclusive organizational structures to improve overall team health.

Managerial Coaching: Provide consulting and coaching to managers at all levels to support the growth of high-performance teams and navigate complex management challenges.

Employee Experience & Trust: Earn employee trust by listening with empathy and addressing concerns, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the workplace experience.

Talent & Compensation Management: Provide recommendations on talent assessment, succession planning, and annual compensation planning (salary review cycles).
Candidate Qualifications
Required:

Experience: 3–5 years of practical experience as an HRBP or in related HR disciplines (employee relations, coaching, recruitment, compensation, training, and HR project execution).

Language Skills: Native Japanese speaker with business-level English proficiency.

Adaptability & Initiative: Proven ability to adapt flexibly in fast-changing environments while taking strong initiative.

Problem-Solving & Data Acumen: Strong analytical skills combining data-driven decision-making with practical experience.

Coaching & Influence: Demonstrated success in coaching employees and management through complex challenges, building trusted relationships across all organizational levels.

Operational Excellence: Outstanding organizational and coordination skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
